Dwayne Woodruff
Dwayne Woodruff ‘s first 12 years in Pittsburgh were spent as a star defensive cornerback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Drafted in 1979, he played in Super Bowl XIV as a rookie, earned a starting line-up spot in 1981 and was voted the team MVP in 1982, after making five interceptions that season to lead the team and the AFC. He also led the team in interceptions in 1985, ’87, ’88 and ’89 and ranks fourth on the Steelers all-time list for interceptions returned for touchdowns. Woodruff - #49, served as a team captain his final three seasons until his retirement in 1991. Woodruff earned a Juris Doctor Degree in 1988 from the Duquesne University School of Law, which he attended full time in the evening during his professional football career. He passed the Allegheny County Bar Exam on his first attempt during his 10th NFL season and from 1988 to 1990 he enjoyed a dual career, simultaneously practicing law and playing football. This set precedence for the NFL and professional sports. Current legal affiliations are with the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, the Homer S. Brown Law Association, as an elected member of the Pennsylvania House of Delegates and as a Judge on the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. His community affiliates include the Sigma Pi Phi (Business) Fraternity, the board of the Urban Impact Foundation, the Special Olympics and the NAACP (lifetime member since 1980). Woodruff earned his B. S. Degree in 1979 from the University of Louisville and the Woodruff Academic Center there was named in his honor in 2006. His college jersey was honored in 2001 and hangs in U of L's Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. He was previously inducted into the University of Louisville Athletic Hall of Fame in October of 1992 and his former church in Louisville, First Baptist of Jeffersontown, awards annual scholarships in his name to pay tribute to his service as chairman of the committee, which initiated the awards in 1984. He also established the Dwayne D. Woodruff Scholarship in 1984, which annually awards $2000 to a New Richmond (Ohio) High School senior. His high school number was retired there in 1981 to pay tribute to his accomplishments as an honor student and the MVP in football, basketball, and track while there. Married for 29 years, Woodruff and wife Joy are active in the lives of their three young adult children and most important is their worship and service at Allegheny Center Alliance Church on Pittsburgh’s Northside.

John Dryden is originally from England. He owns and operates the Dryden Dance Center in Pittsburgh, PA. John is recognized as a premier coach of national champions and finalists in Europe and the Americas such as Victor Veyrasset and Heather Smith. John has also been an adjudicator of major dance competitions throughout the northern hemisphere. He also served as an US Olympics Ice Dance Coach during Calgary, Alberta (1988) and a US National Ice Dance Coach for both Jr. and Sr. Divisions (1985-1988). A staunch supporter of amateur dancing, John is a Charter Coach and Judge of the USABDA Youth. College Network. John is a member of the International Dance Teachers Association (UK) and the Professional Dancers Federation (USA). He is a Board Certified Adjudicator, Coach, and Scrutineer registered with the National Dance Council of America and is an Ice Dancing Coach Registered with the American Professional Skaters Association.

Lisa Vegas
Lisa Vegas is a nationally recognized instructor and adjudicator of Ballroom/Latin Dance. She is the organizer of the Cleveland DanceSport Challenge Dance Competition and the co-founder of the Cleveland Ballroom Company Dance Studio. While competing with her husband Nichy, she was a United States 9 Dance Finalist, 2nd Place, Ohio Star Ball 9 Dance Finalist, 2nd Place, and a United States Rising Star Rhythm/Latin Finalist. She now competes with her partner Bill Graner and with Bill was a 2006 Rising Star finalist in American Smooth. Lisa’s other accomplishments include, adjudicator and instructor with the National Dance Counsel of America, nationally recognized choreographer (US Figure Skating Championships 2002), Director of the Greater Heights Academy Dance program (an Inner City Charter School In Cleveland Ohio) organizer and administrator of two national competitions, The Cleveland Dancesport Challenge and the Great Race Dancesport at Notre Dame University in South Bend Indiana . Also she was the founding instructor of the Case Western Reserve University Ballroom Dance Team.
